Cates Park Final Designs
Finalized the Cates Parks Designs today: 1 tabloid poster, 1 bilboard & 3 signs (different from first two designs so that they can be reused annually.

I am starting to get into freelancing, and still unsure how to proceed in a few areas. I asked forrst (a community of designers and developers, many of whom I have a lot of respect for their opinion) the following question, and got some great answers. Finally did the bare minimum for personal branding...
Made an icon for all of the places I am on the web - since I recognize a lot of the designers with the same plan as me by their icons. Thought it was time that I help them to recognize me too. Tumblr does a wonderful job of blending the inner shadow. Behance: not so much .. Twitter: … I just had to lose the shadow.
Just switched over
to sparrow. It was a very good choice.

Portfolio Website: Round two

I’ve made quite a few changes:
Fixed the icons so that they don’t flicker, and the hover preloads (they’re in the same image now)

Ego Boost & Bummer
I just got recruited by an ad agency! Apparently the guys who printed my resume gave them a copy (awesome) - but then I told her where I live and she said “oh honey, you don’t want to work out here, we’re on the edge of Surrey and Langley.” Then I told her I don’t have a car, and that clinched it; no bus goes out there.
Damn.
